Peter Jackson has been tapped to create a new series of video games for Xbox 360 based on the Halo franchise. Jackson, who's also producing a movie based on Halo, said he's turning to video games because he's "getting a little bored with films."

All five "Star Trek" captains...William Shatner, Patrick Stewart, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, and Scott Bakula...have signed on to participate in the new Star Trek: Legacy videogame, marking the first time all five have worked together.

Per the New York Daily News, Roger Hill, who played gangland idol Cyrus in 1979's The Warriors, has filed suit against the makers of the video-game adaptation, demanding $250,000 and a court order barring the use of his likeness. Take Two Interactive maintains it has "a valid third-party license" for the rights to Hill's character.

Take Two Interactive has settled with the Federal Trade Commission over allegations that it hid sexual content in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The company promised to allow the game to be re-rated from mature to adult and to ensure future versions don't include the patch "Hot Coffee," which allowed viewers to download an oral sex scene.

Paris Hilton unveiled her new Gameloft videogame Paris Hilton's Jewel Jam at E3 on Thursday, but when she arrived, she introduced it by saying, "I'm really excited to have my new videogame, Diamond Quest." Gameloft played along by changing the game's official name to Paris Hilton Diamond Quest shortly thereafter.
