2006 February Sweeps February 16 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 7 PM: Dancing with the Stars 2 (ABC; ends at 8:30 PM)-Seventh-round competition for the four remaining pairs. George Hamilton was booted last week, and I am left without a favorite. I guess I will root for Team Drew. Survivor: Panama (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-The castaway banished to Exile Island faces one of the worst nights in the show's history. The Survivor chosen to go to Exile Island desperately tries to endure a horrendous night of bitingly cold winds and torrential rain with no shelter for protection. One castaway proves to be an all-star at the Reward Challenge which then brings a major win for a starving tribe. Bickering starts early for one tribe and leaves some castaways questioning there premature alliances. Call it superstition or plain coincidence, but one group's interesting dinner gives more than strength to a weak tribe. The third member is voted out of the tribe. I am so surprised that Shane hasn't been booted yet. I liked the little twist of starting out with four tribes...couldn't they have kept that up for a couple more episodes before forming into two tribes? XX Olympic Winter Games (NBC; ends at 11 PM)-Figure skating: men's; snowboarding: men's; speed skating: team pursuit finals; skeleton. Legally Blonde (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-2001 comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Luke Wilson. Everybody Hates Chris (UPN; ends at 7:30 PM)-At the neighborhood corner store, Chris claims to be the greatest Asteroids player in Bed Stuy, until he meets his match and has to defend his title. Meanwhile, to pay the heating bill, Julius and Rochelle have to both give up their guilty pleasures...chocolate and lottery tickets...but deprivation soon sends both out searching for a secret fix. Antonio Huggy Bear Fargas guest stars as corner store owner Mr. Harris. Smallville (WB; ends at 8 PM)-A sympathetic doctor releases a half-human/half-machine subject named Victor (guest star Lee Thompson Young) who was being held captive and experimented on by LuthorCorp. While making his escape, Victor is struck by Lana's car. After watching him walk away without a scratch, Lana calls Clark to investigate. Clark befriends Victor and promises to help him find his girlfriend, but Lex traps Victor and takes him back to LuthorCorp. 7:30 PM: Love, Inc. (UPN; ends at 8 PM) 8 PM: Eve (UPN; ends at 8:30 PM) Beauty and the Geek 2 (WB; ends at 9 PM)-In the sixth episode, the beauties learn they must ask the geeks out on dates. As new friendships are formed, one couple's growing romance becomes more intimate. Meanwhile, the geeks become stylists and photographers for a day during a sexy photo shoot challenge. Two teams are sent to elimination room to face questioning and one is sent packing. Last week's episode proved that we didn't need jerky Chris to make this season better than the first one. 8:30 PM: Cuts (UPN; ends at 9 PM)-After discovering that her new boyfriend Jeremy (guest star Andrew Walker) has children from a previous marriage, Tiffany becomes uncomfortable with the situation and questions whether she can continue to have a relationship with him. Meanwhile, having nicked customers because of his severe wrist pain, Kevin fears that his career as a hairdresser could end. Later, Walt and Faith continue to hide their relationship from everyone at the salon. 9:30 PM: Primetime Thursday (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Special 30-minute episode. Watching/Recording Suggestions: At 7 PM, watch Smallville; record Survivor: Panama on TiVo, Dancing with the Stars 2 on VCR 1, and Everybody Hates Chris on VCR 2.
