2006 February Sweeps February 25 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 7 PM: Forrest Gump (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-1994 Oscar-winning drama starring Tom Hanks. “XX Olympic Winter Games” (NBC; ends at 10:30 PM)-Alpine skiing: men's slalom final; short track speed skating: men's 500m final, women's 1000m final, men's 5000m relay final; bobsled: four man final; biathlon: women's 12.5km final. “Cops” (FOX; ends at 7:30 PM) “Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York” (Sci-Fi Channel; ends at 9 PM)-An illegal experiment drilling deep for geothermal energy in lower Manhattan stirs up the magma in the Earth's core. Volcanic activity erupts in spots throughout NYC. The mayor and federal agents think the damage is caused by terrorism. A tunnel worker (Costas Mandylor) and his scientist ex-wife (Alexandra Paul) know the truth and devise a do-or-die plan which could save New York before the city becomes the next Pompeii. They assemble a team and go deep underground in a last ditch effort to stop the molten lava.
