2006 February Sweeps February 5 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 4 PM: NFL Football: Super Bowl XL: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks (ABC; ends at 7:45 PM)-Stevie Wonder will perform in the pre-show with John Legend and Joss Stone, and the Rolling Stones will perform during halftime. Aretha Franklin will join New Orleans singer Aaron Neville in performing the national anthem. They will be accompanied by another veteran New Orleans musician, pianist Dr. John. I will be, of course, be watching the commercials. 6 PM: 60 Minutes (CBS; ends at 7 PM) Dateline NBC (NBC; ends at 7 PM) 7:45 PM: Super Bowl XL Post Game (ABC; ends at 8 PM)-Wrap-up of the game. 8 PM: Greys Anatomy (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Christina Ricci and Kyle Chandler guest star in an episode in which a patient's arrival threatens the lives of everyone in the OR. There are also developments with Alex and Izzie. I thought that there were rumors that Alex was going to leave the show. Since he passed that test last week, I wonder if he is going out in a body bag. #1 Single (E!; ends at 8:30 PM)-Lisa takes a class about the fine art of flirting and the rules of dating. 12 AM: Boondocks (Adult Swim; ends at 12:30 AM)-Granddad and Colonel Stinkmeaner go mano a mano. 1 AM: Moral Orel (Adult Swim; ends at 1:15 AM)-I'm not sure what this episode is about, but it's called Charity, and it will be messed up. Watching/Recording Suggestions: At 4 PM, watch NFL Football: Super Bowl XL: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Seattle Seahawks. At 7:45 PM, watch Super Bowl XL Post Game. At 8 PM, watch Greys Anatomy. At 11 PM, watch #1 Single when it repeats at this time on E! At 12 AM, watch or TiVo Boondocks. At 1 AM, watch or TiVo Moral Orel. |
