Premise: The creator of "The O.C." turns his attention from the lives of high school students in California to college students in New England.  Just as Newport Beach may as well be 100 miles from Chino, the gap between the students and teachers at a prestigious university and the local townies is equally vast.

Premise: The facts of a criminal case are shown as each week a jury attempts to deliberate the defendant's guilt or innocence.  After the verdict is rendered, a flashback will show whether or not they got it right.

Premise: From the creator of "The Family Guy," this animated series revolves around a CIA agent who is a bit on the edge. At home, in addition to his wife and kids he has a German-speaking goldfish for a pet and a sarcastic alien he rescued from Area 51.

Premise: Based on the popular British show and shot in both Los Angeles and London, this fast-paced sketch show averages 30 vignettes each half-hour in the style of "Laugh In."

Premise: FOX's version of "The Apprentice."  Virgin Chairman Sir Richard Branson takes a group of would-be entrepreneurs on a trip around the world making them relive some of his own adventures while testing them to determine who will continue on.

"The Complex: Malibu" (premieres in August)
Premise: An American version of the Australian show "The Block," here couples are moved into a Southern California beach condo and given a budget to renovate.  When the deadline arrives, the units are sold at public auction and the couple who nets the largest profit wins a prize.

"The Next Great Champ" (Fridays at 7 PM; premieres in November; working title)
Premise: FOX's version of "The Contender."  A dozen wannabe boxers compete for a professional contract.  The twist is that each is joined by someone from their real life, following their relationship and showing the boxing world from the perspective of a non-fighter.

"The Simple Life 2: Road Trip" (Wednesdays at 8 PM; premieres June 16)
Premise: Rather than subjecting one normal family to the whims of spoiled celebutantes Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the second installment sends them on a road trip from Miami to Beverly Hills.  They have no cell phones, cash, or credit cards, but they do have their dogs, Tinkerbell and Honey Child, and each other.
