Police investigated Pete Doherty Friday after Britain's The Sun printed pictures it said showed the rocker injecting drugs into an unconscious female fan's arm. Snoop Dogg was released on bail Thursday after being detained overnight following a fracas at London's Heathrow Airport that allegedly left seven police officers injured. He was not charged with any offense.
50 Cent is criticizing Oprah Winfrey for rarely inviting rappers on her show and accusing her of catering to "older white women."

50 Cent is joining a new campaign aimed at preventing childhood obesity, in which student chefs in cities including New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and Seattle will compete to create the most nutritious cafeteria lunch recipe with the winner receiving a $100,000 college scholarship. Director Peter
Bogdanovich is tagging along with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers to film the band's upcoming Highway Companion tour for a documentary. "We've given him access we've never given anybody," Petty said.

Producers of a pay-TV séance are claiming to have contacted John Lennon via a technique called Electronic Voice Phenomenon, which supposedly picks up voices from beyond via radio and TV broadcast signals. The show's participants claimed the late Beatle's spirit told them, "Peace...The message is peace." Michael Jackson is reportedly looking to collaborate with 50 Cent on an upcoming mix tape being spearheaded by DJ Whoo Kid, Billboard reports. The rapper's spokesperson said
50 Cent had not yet committed to working with Jackson.
Phil Spector's endlessly delayed murder trial has been pushed back once again from September to January 2007, meaning it is now due to begin almost four years after the February 2003 shooting death of actress Lana Clarkson.

LL Cool J urged fans to be financially responsible in his speech at the Hip Hop Summit on Financial Empowerment. "The biggest misconception probably comes from the hip-hop community itself...that the money lasts forever. You have to do the right thing with it," he said.
Despite the woeful title of his post-Jessica Simpson breakup album, What's Left of Me, and the several songs on it that refer to the split, Nick Lachey swore to MTV that he is not looking to hurt his estranged wife and that he still loves her. The former boy bander also recently told Rolling Stone that he doesn't know if "there were other men"
