2006 November Sweeps November 10 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 6 PM: “Doctor Who” (Sci-Fi Channel; ends at 7 PM)-The Time travelers visit London in the 1950s and uncover an alien secret amidst celebrations honoring Queen Elizabeth II. 7 PM: “Ghost Whisperer” (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-When a restaurant burns down for the second time, Melinda tries to help an angry ghost who was accused of setting the original restaurant fire that killed him. Melinda first sees the burning ghost inside the restaurant after it burns down for the second time. He tells her that he was not the one who set the restaurant on fire when it burned down the year before and Melinda tries to help him clear his name. Meanwhile, Melinda remembers the night that she and Jim met when a fire erupted in the building next door to where she lived. Jay Mohr returns in a recurring role as Professor Rick Payne. Jason Gedrick (NBC's "Windfall") guest stars as the business partner of the ghost. “1 vs. 100” (NBC; ends at 8 PM)-Monique Soltani of Hollywood, California returns to try and finish off the mob and Jonathan Kehoe of Cherry Hill, New Jersey tries his luck to outsmart the mob, which includes beauty queens, sanitation workers, and Trekkies. “Vanished” (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-When Senator Collins delivers a press conference to address the speculation swirling around his vote on Judge Wallace Rainer as a justice of the Supreme Court, Marcy struggles with developments involving Judge Rainer, and Agents Mei and Lucas investigate leads that uncover new clues to the conspiracy. “WWE Friday Night SmackDown!” (CW; ends at 9 PM) “Battlestar Galactica” (Sci-Fi Channel; ends at 8 PM)-Part 2 of 2. Starbuck is dispatched to interrogate the dying Cylons on board the infected baseship, and learns how Baltar is helping their adversaries; the virus inspires Lee to come up with a new strategy. “Ice-T’s Rap School” (VH1; ends at 7:30 PM)-The York Prep Crew appears on Ed Lover's radio show, heads into the studio to record the first single, and attends a Common concert. 8 PM: “Men in Trees” (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Unbeknownst to Marin, Jane leaked an excerpt from Marin's new book on men to The New Yorker magazine. Now Marin is forced to defend her career to Jack, the unwilling subject of her work. Meanwhile singer-songwriter Jewel stops into the Chieftain when her car breaks down, and runs into Theresa, who turns out to be her former bandmate, and Patrick's mom, Celia and his new step-mother, Mai, go head to head in an alpha showdown for the role of "top mom." “Close to Home” (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-When a local minister is found dead in his home and all signs point to both his wife and his secretary as possible suspects, Annabeth and the team step in to sort it out. At first, Annabeth thinks that this is the classic case of either the wife becoming jealous of her cheating husband or the mistress becoming angry when her lover won't leave his wife for her. However, when the team discovers that church's building fund is missing, which was the minister's highest priority, they begin to realize that this case isn't about envy or anger, but another deadly sin...greed. “Las Vegas” (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-Sam returns to Las Vegas and finds herself in financial trouble after three of her recent clients stiffed the Montecito. Elsewhere, Ed runs into the wife of a high roller who thinks of her husband as weak and boring so Ed devises a situation, with the help of Mike and Danny to show her husband how be tough. Meanwhile, a new Mary emerges from the fallout of Danny and Delinda’s relationship when she decides to conquer her biggest fear with the help of guest star Adam Carolla. “Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy” (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-Part 2 of 2. Mrs. Laura Wiessmeyer of Weymouth, MA, and Mrs. Wendy Kahn-Robson of Boulder, CO, continue to adjust to life after trading families. When they say goodbye to their new families, they leave them with a letter that could change their life forever. Finally, when the moms return to their own homes, they read the letters and learn how they will have to spend the $50,000 prize. “The Soup” (E!; ends at 8:30 PM)-Joel McHale makes fun of celebrity news and events. 9 PM: “20/20” (ABC; ends at 10 PM) “Numb3rs” (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-Don and his team investigate the death of a minor league baseball player to determine if it was an accidental overdose of steroids or a homicide. After some probing into the case, Charlie is astonished when he discovers a fantasy league player who has developed an extraordinary statistical analysis that identifies which players use steroids. This unforeseen breakthrough leads the FBI to a possible motive and potential killer. “Law & Order” (NBC; ends at 10 PM)-Chris Drake (guest star Tim Peper) escorts two drunken women onto a party bus to film a scene for his movie company Babes Being Bad, and finds his friend Bryce Moore (guest star Daniel Cameron-Talbott) dead, making Chris an instant suspect. Using video as his alibi, Detectives Ed Green and Nina Cassady track down the suspect, Nicole Flynn (guest star Kim Shaw) and she admits to being on the bus questioning Chris about video footage he recorded of her while on spring break. Yet, as A.D.As Jack McCoy and Connie Rubirosa dig deeper more is exposed of Babes Being Bad and Nicole's story, leading to an unlikely conviction for the murder. “Best Week Ever” (VH1; ends at 9:30 PM)-Britney Spears drops a bomb on our souls by filing for divorce from her deadbeat husband; America goes to the polls; People Magazine trots out the “I’m Gay!” cover yet again, this time for Doogie Howser; Faith Hill freaks out on live TV after losing a CMA award to Carrie Underwood. 9:30 PM: “The Wendy Williams Experience” (VH1; ends at 10 PM)-Vivica A. Fox stops by the WBLS studios along with newlyweds, Chris and Adrianne Knight. John Legend talks with Wendy about his new album Once Again and gives a special performance.
