2006 November Sweeps November 20 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 7 PM: “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (ABC; ends at 7:30 PM)-Special. Charlie Brown wants to do something special for the gang. However the dinner he arranges is a disaster when caterers Snoopy and Woodstock prepare toast and popcorn as the main dish. Humiliated, it will take all of Marcie's persuasive powers to salvage the holiday for Charlie Brown. The special originally aired in 1973. “How I Met Your Mother” (CBS; ends at 7:30 PM)-Everyone discovers that Robin has an aversion to malls because of a secret from her past, and Ted tries to get her to reveal what happened. Barney is convinced she made a porn film, while Marshall thinks she's married. “Deal or No Deal” (NBC; ends at 8 PM)-Tonight, Zanny Henseler of Lebanon, Illinois returns to complete her game and gets a special surprise as the entire set is turned lime green...Zanny's favorite color. Also, "Access Hollywood" model contest winner Erin Ashley joins the 26 ladies and Joe Kaiser of Barrington, New Jersey plays for the top prize of $1 million. “Prison Break” (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-A family reunion brings up painful memories of Michael’s childhood; Mahone tracks an injured Coyote to lead him to the getaway plane; C-Note gets a taste of some bad medicine; and Bellick and Kellerman get the third degree from the women in their lives. “Everybody Hates Chris” (CW; ends at 7:30 PM)-When Julius' successful younger brother (guest star Wayne Brady) joins the family for Thanksgiving, Julius gets in the competitive spirit, determined to make the perfect meal. However, things go badly after Rochelle realizes they forgot to put the turkey in the oven and Chris burns the family-favorite macaroni and cheese. “House of Carters” (E!; ends at 7:30 PM)-Season finale. A celebration loses its fun after too much drinking mixes with Aaron's meddling. 7:30 PM: “He’s a Bully, Charlie Brown” (ABC; ends at 8 PM)-Special. The 50th primetime "Peanuts" network special and the last original script created by the late Charles Schulz, focuses on Charlie Brown's greatest challenge to date. The Peanuts gang is attending a summer camp where they run into an obnoxious kid who happens to be the camp's marble champion. The bully wins all of ReRun's marbles, including ReRun's grandfather's championship "shooter." Charlie Brown challenges the bully to a competition to try and win back ReRun's marbles. Having never really played before, Charlie Brown enlists the services of Snoopy to teach him. Can Charlie Brown win the marbles back? “The Class” (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-Kyle and Aaron have Thanksgiving dinner with Holly's family, including her mom and unusual dad; Duncan and his mom join Nicole, Yonk and Yonk's scary daughter (guest star Maile Flanagan); and Lina finds out that Richie's married. “All of Us” (CW; ends at 8 PM)-Returning home from meeting his biological father, Robert remains stunned that his real dad, Luther (guest star Richard Lawson, "Dead Like Me"), is gay. Though he tries to hide this fact from his family, Luther and his partner unexpectedly show up. When Courtney shows her lack of interest in spending the holiday with Dirk, Neesee offers her some motherly guidance. Finally, the entire family sits down to have a Thanksgiving meal to remember, prepared by Neessee. 8 PM: “The Bachelor: Rome” (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-The "Women Tell All" special. Ten rejected bachelorettes from the Rome cast are reunited to dish the dirt and throw some questions at Lorenzo. “Two and a Half Men” (CBS; ends at 8:30 PM)-Charlie gets tired of Alan's mooching and reaches the breaking point during the brothers' double date. “Heroes” (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-As Mr. Bennett tries to protect his daughter by any means, Claire's high school Homecoming celebration turns into a frightening night for many. Nathan and Simone work together to find Isaac's painting for Peter, but this key to the future could lead to tragedy. Meanwhile, Hiro travels back in time to right an upsetting wrong. As Niki puts a goal in sight, Micah spends time with his dad. Still experiencing strange dreams while in India, Mohinder learns of a boy that might pull him back into his father's research. “Girlfriends” (CW; ends at 8:30 PM) 8:30 PM: “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Christine is upset that Ritchie has more fun with Richard during their weekly visits than with her every day, so she insists the guys work on a school project during their weekend together to even the "funless" factor. “The Game” (CW; ends at 9 PM)-When Melanie learns that Derwin is still upset about the bad publicity caused by her continuing friendship with an old football rival, she tries to find various ways to make it up to him. However, when Derwin refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem, Melanie calls her mother and starts packing. Meanwhile, Kelly and Tasha persuade Malik and Jason to talk some sense into Derwin. 9 PM: “What About Brian” (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Needing money, Brian starts a job at his father's high-end real estate firm. Sparks fly when he meets the company's top agent, the beautiful Bridget (guest star Krista Allen.) Meanwhile, Dave starts a new job as well, and he and Deena work out a unique child custody arrangement; Adam's relationship with Summer (recurring guest star Rachelle Lefevre) may be problematic for his professional future; and Nicole finds a way to work through her grief after losing her husband. “C.S.I: Miami” (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-A 19-year-old model who is "bought" at a charity auction as a date for $60,000 is soon found murdered. The crime takes place in a bedroom on the plush Star Island estate where the auction is held, and the man who purchased the date discovers her stabbed to death with a letter opener. The investigation reveals the charity may be a fund-raising event for criminal activities and the slain woman may have had inside knowledge of it. “Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip” (NBC; ends at 10 PM)-After the show comes down, Matt discover that Ricky and Ron are planning to leave and take the writing staff with them. Harriet contemplates doing a lingerie spread in a magazine and Jordan and Danny wrestle with budget cuts. “The Jim Henson Company’s Puppet Up! Uncensored” (TBS; ends at 10 PM)-Special. A group of puppeteers and improvisational comedians...including Brian Henson, Julianne Buescher, Tyler Bunch, and Ted Michaels...controls puppets in improvised scenes suggested by audience members. Taped Nov. 15, 2006, at the Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.
