2006 November Sweeps November 24 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 7 PM: Shrek 2 (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-2004 animated movie starring the voices of Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, and Antonio Banderas. “Ghost Whisperer” (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-Melinda encounters the angry ghost, Matt Vonner (guest star Christopher Wiehl), a former pro-baseball player who crashed and burned and died in a car accident, when he tries to take over the body of a Justin Cotter (guest star Mehcad Brooks), a young pitcher, during a high school ballgame. Justin is scared and confused and not aware of the battle taking place inside him. Melinda must show Justin what is happening to him and help the boy to turn his back on the powerful spirit. Nine-time NHL All-Star and Phoenix Coyotes center Jeremy Roenick guest stars as the baseball team's assistant coach. The Family Man (NBC; ends at 10 PM)-2000 Christmas drama starring Nicolas Cage and Tea Leoni. Bruce Almighty (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-2003 fantasy comedy starring Jim Carrey, Morgan Freeman, and Jennifer Aniston. “WWE Friday Night SmackDown!” (CW; ends at 9 PM) 8 PM: “Close to Home” (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-Annabeth seeks the death penalty for a man who takes justice into his own hands by attempting to gun down his son-in-law after he is acquitted of murdering his daughter; however, he misses his target and accidentally wounds defense attorney Doug Hellman (recurring guest star Bruce Davidson) and kills his associate. The case takes a turn when Annabeth discovers that the initial murder trial of the son-in-law may have been mismanaged by someone in her department. During the investigation she also learns her friend, defense attorney Doug Hellman, who was injured during the shooting, may have known that the case was mishandled but did nothing to stop it. “The Soup” (E!; ends at 8:30 PM)-Joel McHale makes fun of celebrity news and events. 9 PM: “20/20” (ABC; ends at 10 PM) “Numb3rs” (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-During the murder investigation of a state senator, Don and his team discover a plot to exact revenge on the individuals involved in a government sponsored behavior modification project. Though the program was discontinued, Don and the FBI learn that someone is still able to make the conditioning work on former subjects and is using them to commit murder. Meanwhile, Larry announces he is taking a leave of absence from the university to travel on the next space station crew rotation. 9:30 PM: “The Wendy Williams Experience” (VH1; ends at 10 PM)-Two of West Coast's finest...The Game and Snoop Dogg...talk all things hip hop. Then Wendy gets the real scoop on Hollywood's latest breakups and Eddie Murphy's love child. 10 PM: “Web Junk 20” (VH1; ends at 10:30 PM)-VH1 and iFilm are back with a brand new season of everyone's favorite weekly countdown show of all the wierdest, wildest, and most hilarious video clips hitting the internet...this time hosted by Jim Bruer.
