2006 November Sweeps November 8 Listings (Show titles in the larger size are the shows I recommend; reruns are not listed; all times are in the Mountain Time Zone) 7 PM: “Dancing with the Stars 3” (ABC; ends at 8 PM)-Results show. Ninth-round results; a preview of the show's national tour that includes former "Stars" Joey McIntyre and Lisa Rinna. Also: The Pet Shop Boys perform "West End Girls"; Tysonia joins a dance contest. I bet that Emmett will go home tonight, even though he was pretty good. “Jericho” (CBS; ends at 8 PM)-Jake and Eric make a run to Rogue River for medical supplies as their father's condition worsens, and their trip reveals some unpleasant facts from the outside; Jimmy and Gray have suspicions about Hawkins and question him. “The Biggest Loser 3” (NBC; ends at 9 PM)-Two-hour episode. Caroline shocks the duos when she tells them that some of the 36 state contestants are back to weigh-in for the chance to rejoin the competition. Two players rejoin the game, but they struggle to keep up with Bob and Kim's training. At the challenge, everyone has a "ton of fun" moving thousands of pounds across a huge warehouse. “Bones” (FOX; ends at 8 PM)-When the unearthed skeletal remains of Mason Roberts, a federal prosecutor who disappeared five years earlier, are discovered in the desert outside Las Vegas, Brennan and Booth suspect his death may be tied to the mob. The body count in the desert rises when vultures lead them to the recent remains of a young woman, just a few yards away. Booth suspects the same person may have been responsible for both deaths, but the woman’s injuries lead Brennan to believe she has a long history of domestic abuse and her husband may have been responsible for her demise. Brennan and Booth question the deceased woman’s husband, who denies he hurt his wife, but leads them to a Vegas loan shark. When an anonymous lead takes them into the world of gambling and underground ultimate fighting, Booth and Brennan go undercover as Vegas high-rollers. Booth takes his turn in the ring and risks his life in a desperate effort to uncover the mystery of “The Woman in the Sand.” “America’s Next Top Model 7” (CW; ends at 8 PM)-Professional volleyball player-model Gabrielle Reece teaches the gals the art of action modeling. Also, race driver Stanton Barrett runs the contestants through a fast-paced challenge. Later, the women take part in a photo shoot at a skydiving training facility. 8 PM: “Lost” (ABC; ends at 9 PM)-Jack makes a decision regarding Ben's offer; Kate feels helpless when it appears that Pickett (guest star Michael Bowen) will carry out his threat to kill Sawyer; and Locke discovers a hidden message that may help him unlock the secrets of the island. “Criminal Minds” (CBS; ends at 9 PM)-The team travels to Seattle, where a serial bomber is targeting centers of automated technology, and Reid discovers that the perpetrator is obsessed with a futuristic novel in which humans are taken over by robots. “The O.C.” (FOX; ends at 9 PM)-New episode on a special night. Ryan leaves Orange County to put an end to his turmoil the only way he knows how, but comes up empty on his search. Meanwhile, Seth acts like a jackass and finds some new friends in Mexico who help him find what he is looking for. Kaitlin and Julie are forced by the school’s dean to work together on Harbor’s clothing drive, and Julie is ostracized by the Cohens when they discover what she has been up to. Taylor drops in unannounced on Summer and the truth comes out as Summer continues separating herself from everything Orange County. Chris Pratt, Steve-O, and Tia Carrere guest star. “One Tree Hill” (CW; ends at 8 PM)-Nathan and Haley's financial struggles force Nathan to approach Dan for help. In spite of his heart condition, Lucas decides to rejoin the Ravens, teaming him with Skills. Feeling isolated and alone, Peyton finds comfort from an unlikely source, while Brooke begins dating again, but discovers that her new boyfriend (guest star Reynaldo Valentin) is not all that he seems to be. Mouth (Lee Norris) receives an unexpected proposal, and an old acquaintance of Dan's, Daunte (guest star Rick Fox, "Oz"), shows a sudden interest in Nathan. “Top Chef” (Bravo; ends at 9 PM)-The chefs are required to create amuse-bouche...bite-sized morsels similar to hors d'oeuvres. Then, in the second challenge, the group visits a weight-loss camp. Suzanne Goin serves as guest judge. “I Pity the Fool” (TV Land; ends at 8:30 PM)-Mr. T visits a horse farm to help a frustrated couple teach the meaning of respect to their four unruly teenage boys. “Underfunded” (USA; ends at 9:30 PM)-90-minute backdoor pilot. A sly agent (Mather Zickel) working for the Canadian Secret Service must cope with the agency's pathetically underfunded resources. 9 PM: “The Nine” (ABC; ends at 10 PM)-Egan plans a poker party; Kathryn sees a new side to Nick that prompts her to make a decision about her future; Lizzie reveals a connection with Lucas that happened during the robbery; and Jeremy and Franny take their relationship to the next level. “C.S.I.: NY” (CBS; ends at 10 PM)-A professional paintball player is gunned down after he enters a warehouse where huge balloons used in the Thanksgiving Day Parade are located. He was playing a paintball game with a rival, who is now missing, when he was shot. The investigation reveals the murder may be linked to illegal drugs and a cop may be involved. Also, Stella fears she is being stalked, but when Mac chases down the suspect he gets an unexpected surprise. “Dateline NBC” (NBC; ends at 10 PM) 11 PM: “South Park” (Comedy Central; ends at 11:30 PM)-Part 2 of 2. Cartman tries to escape a dystopian future plagued by militant otters and a lack of video games. 11:30 PM: “Drawn Together” (Comedy Central; ends at 12 AM)-Captain Hero is concerned about his social grouping, while Foxxy attempts to save the world from a meteor. Meanwhile, Ling Ling dabbles in cockfighting.
