20th Century Fox's attorneys have put the kibosh on the "Buffy" Musical, a series of theatrical screenings of the acclaimed "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" episode "Once More, with Feeling," in which fans dress up like their fave characters and sing along with the show. A rep for the studio says that the distributor who allowed these screenings to go on overstepped the boundaries of the show's licensing deals.

California Department of Justice investigators began, at long last, serving out search warrants Friday in connection with the death of Anna Nicole Smith earlier this year, carrying out raids on the homes and offices of two of Smith's doctors, Sandeep Kapoor and Khristine Eroshevich. The former model passed away from an accidental drug overdose on Feb. 8.

Finally, "Lost" fans can put a face to the name. Fisher Stevens, a longtime TV vet who's had guest starring stints in "Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Frasier," and "Friends" as well as starring roles in the Short Circuit franchise, has signed on to play Minowski, the character whose voice was heard on the other side of a satellite phone last season and who seemingly informed Jack that the gang would be rescued.

Will Smith is attached to executive produce a series adaptation of Hitch, his 2005 hit matchmaking romantic comedy. Smith won't star in the half-hour comedy, which has yet to be pitched...and therefore picked up...by any of the networks.

Enrique Iglesias taped an appearance Thursday on "The Young and the Restless," his third CBS guest stint as himself this year. The Latin crooner sang "Somebody's Me" while stopping by the fictional Indigo jazz club on the daytime soap, with the episode set to air Nov. 7. Iglesias has previously made acting pit stops on "How I Met Your Mother" and "Two and a Half Men."

Regis Philbin has been tapped to host an updated version of the classic game show "Password" for CBS, which has ordered six episodes of the inflation-adjusted "Million Dollar Password." Drew Carey popped the question to recent culinary school grad Nicole Jaracz on Tuesday, his rep says. The pair, each of which will be tying the knot for the first time, haven't set a date yet. Meanwhile, the 36th season of "The Price Is Right," featuring Carey in the Bob Barker role, premieres Monday.

Looks like Michelle Rodriguez won't be having a very merry Christmas. The former "Lost" star has been ordered to report to county jail on Christmas Eve to begin serving a six-month sentence for failing to complete community service and alcohol monitoring as part of her probation in a drunken-driving case. Rodriguez "admitted violation of her probation by failing to provide proof of community service and by consuming alcohol three times while wearing an alcohol-monitoring device," a spokesman for the City Attorney's office said.

The actress won high marks for her tango and finished the night in a three-way tie for first place with Mel B and Sabrina Bryan. Las Vegas staple Wayne Newton and his professional partner Cheryl Burke finished at the bottom of the heap, with the lowest marks of the night on Tuesday night. Co-host Samantha Harris is scheduled to return from maternity leave next week, meaning fill-in Drew Lachey will be relegated to the sidelines. Also on Tuesday, Jim Germanakos, a 40-year-old from Long Island, NY who was competing alongside his twin brother Bill, became the fifth contestant and the first Black Team member cut from NBC's "The Biggest Loser 4." Finally on Tuesday, Will Frank and Rebecca Miles, the 23-year-old software engineer from Haworth, NJ and his partner, a 24-year-old student from Crown Point, IN, became the third couple eliminated from the CW's "Beauty and the Geek 4."

A judge has recommended that Nicollette Sheridan and an ex-manager who claims she fired him to avoid paying a commission for his role in scoring her "Desperate Housewives" gig turn to mediation to try and resolve their dispute. Rob Lee sued the actress for breach on contract in June 2006, claiming he was unceremoniously sacked in 2004 after playing an instrumental part in landing Sheridan the role of Edie Britt on the ABC series. Sheridan has denied his claims.

Kiefer Sutherland has agreed to a 48-day jail sentence after pleading no contest to driving with a blood-alcohol level higher than 0.08 percent, stemming from his Sept. 25 DUI bust. As part of the deal, another misdemeanor count of driving under the influence was dropped. Sutherland must immediately serve 18 days for probation violation after he's formally sentenced on Dec. 21, which serendipitously is the first day of "24's" winter production break, and then he has until July 1, 2008, to complete the rest.

David Spade has donated $25,000 to the family of slain Phoenix police officer Nick Erfle, who was killed in the line of duty last month. "I'm from Arizona, so I'm always a little aware of things that are going on there," Spade told the Associated Press. "It just struck me as such a rough situation, just because cops in general get kind of a bad rap lately, and people forget it is the scariest job out there."
